Sick wife

I am concerned about Tamra. If today is her birthday and she's sick. She has a sore throat and think she has a virus. She commonly has a problem with having no energy in sick makes it worse. I was hoping that we could get her to go out tonight to celebrate her birthday and have a nice dinner somewhere at a restaurant. But she doesn't have any desire to leave the house when she's sick.

Still sick

It's been almost a week now and I still have nasty phlegm and congestion with a cough.  I don't have a fever anymore. My fever subsided after the second day.

Came down to Charleston with the family to celebrate Kayla's graduation.  Greg came down with his kids and his doctor friend Jeff and his daughter. We all hit the beach yesterday and had a big time.

After the beach we came back to the hotel and swim in the pool for another couple of hours. And we went to the graduation party and had Frogmore stew.

During the party of course the kids ran around playing football and got lots of exercise and energy out. We came back to the hotel and the kids swim more before went to bed. Needless to say the kids were completely worn out by the end of the night.

Right now I'm sitting here at the pool once again wanting Adrienne swim and Atticus and London fighting each other with the swim noodles.  Tamara is cleaning the room getting ready to leave.

Atticus baseball

Last Saturday Atticus hit a great home run and drove in three runs.  Unfortunately it was not enough and his team lost.

Sick - yech

I started feeling a little bit iffy last night.  This morning i woke up and felt pretty nasty - headache (I only get them when I am really sick), cough, congestion and fever.  I think I have a cold.  What concerns me about is is my low white blood cell count.  I was at a 2.4 a couple of weeks ago when I went to the oncologist.  It still isn't normal.  They can't tell me why it isn't normal.

I have had a full body CT scan to look for tumors which showed nothing.  I have been to Duke Bone Marrow Transplant Center and the doctor there told me I had something that was just taking me longer to recover from than the standard textbook scenario.  That was over a year ago.

Now I am thinking about the possibility of having some type of autoimmune disease but my oncologist tells me that there is not a direct way to test for that.  I am not really showing any symptoms of an autoimmune disease.

I just hope I recover from this cold quickly.
